With Sri Lanka recently emerging as a middle income country,
UNFPA is shifting its activity focus from capacity building and service
delivery to focusing on addressing the four key youth issues in Sri Lanka
through policy dialogue, policy advice and policy advocacy in the coming years

SCHOOL YOUTH
- Supporting sexual and reproductive
health and rights education of young
people, particularly young girls
through innovative approaches and the YPEER programme
PROMOTING YOUTH
LEADERSHIP AND

- Supporting the implementation of the
National Youth Policy and finalization of
policies related to the health of young people
- Support advocacy for youth participation
in decision-making forums
